On Monday, 8/1/2005, we went to a jobsite to pickup and relocate a message board. Upon arrival at the location the message board was nowhere to be found. We called GPS Protected to help us locate and recover the message board, using the GPS tracking system installed on all of our message boards. They responded within minutes with the exact location of the missing board. The missing board was located and recovered a short time later. The approximate value of the message board was $16,000.00.

Again on Wednesday, 8/3/2005, while on my commute to the office, a contractor called to tell me that the message board that we had on rent from a barricade company was missing. I have GPS Protected telephone number programmed into my cell phone, and I immediately called them to help us locate and recover the message board. Again within minutes they provided us with the exact location of the message board before I had finished my short commute to the office. This time the message board was recovered in the storage yard of a local competitor. The approximate value of the message board was $16,000.00.

In addition to being a valuable theft recovery tool, we have found the GPS units to be of great value with maintenance because they also let us know when the voltage drops and we need to service the batteries that are solar powered.
