On Thursday October 6, 2005 at 7:15 AM EST we received a call from our project manager stating that a newly purchased Cat Skid-Steer Loader was missing form a job site in Naples, Florida.

We immediately called GPS PROTECTED customer service center to help recover the equipment, and by 7:35 AM EST your office had located the equipment 120 miles away in Miami Florida. By 8:05 AM EST your customer service representative had guided the Miami Dade Police Department to the exact location of the equipment, where it was being used on a job site by the thieves as if they owner the equipment. The Miami Dade Police the equipment without incident, and we immediately sent two of our employees to pickup the recovered Skid-Steer Loader in Miami. Our equipment was back on the jobsite in Naples by 4:00 PM EST The same day it was discovered missing.

The Skid-Steer Loader was only six weeks old when the theft occurred. Without the GPS PROTECTED tracking system we would have lost approximately $50,000.00 from the theft of this equipment. Since that day we have installed the GPS PROTECTED system on every piece of equipment we own. And highly recommend that others do the same.
